And dishes the dirt on Drive Angry
Will Halloween 3 ever happen? Who knows. But someone should bring Tom Atkins up to speed on what’s happening at Dimension Films.
In an interview with Fangoria, he says that he’s set to co-star with Scout Taylor-Compton in the threequel playing “a shrink in a mental hospital that Laurie [Taylor-Compton] is in with a bunch of other girls who have been up to no good. I’m trying to help them find a way to the light.”
Clearly he’s referring to the Todd Farmer-penned draft of the script that Patrick Lussier was in line to direct after he did Drive Angry. But here’s the thing: It’s widely known around town that Dimension, since the Farmer/Lussier Halloween 3 was put on the backburner, has been hearing pitches from other writers for another take on the film.
Just something to put into perspective. Farmer talks about his time on Halloween 3 here.
I’m curious though, now, to know more about Farmer’s direction. Atkins as a shrink and Strode in a mental hospital? Sounds like it was taking a turn into grounds we’ve seen before (Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Boogeyman 2, etc.).
Atkins says he’s got a small part in Drive Angry playing an Oklahoma State Trooper captain. For more click here.
