Horror/thriller a Canadian co-production
Production is ramping up for Hidden, the first Italian-made 3D feature which will begin principal photography in Canada later this month. The horror/thriller (not to be confused with the After Dark Films title from this years Horrorfest) is about an abandoned experimental medical centre that harbours a deadly secret. It only becomes known when a restoration project begins.
Canada is providing 80% of the financing and the film has the support of Telefilm Canada. The remaining 20% of funding will come from private equity sources in Italy according to Screen Daily.
The cast will primarily consist of unknowns, while directing duties will be assigned to an Italian and Canadian duo. John Sheele will be supervising the 3D FX work, with John Attard handling visual FX. Andrea Marotti is producing for ReDark with Andre Rouleau for Montreal-based Caramel Films with Don Carmody executive producing. More when we hear it!
