Tunnels or High Rise?
In this news item it was revealed Splice and Cube‘s Vincenzo Natali was going to get behind an adaptation of “Tunnels.” That left many of us wondering what was going to happen with High Rise, but Natali spoke to the website Fantasy and had this to say:
“I don’t know what the next film will be. These days there are so many factors to determining when a film receives a green light that one has to work on many things at once. Both High-Rise and Tunnels are amazing projects that allow me to create hermetic worlds. With Tunnels specifically it’s an opportunity to do a fantasy adventure on a large scale. I’ve been wanting to make a film like this for a long time. The main thing to know is that both projects are very active and their mutual existence helps to drive each one forward rather than hold them back.”
Good to hear. I hope if Tunnels does come first, it doesn’t deter him from wanting to make the equally claustrophobic High Rise after…
