Shock readers across the pond will be seeing Philip Ridley’s Heartless sooner than later across various formats.
Lionsgate’s UK division (a telling sign that Lionsgate U.S. has the film too?) is working with the UK Film Council to get Ridley’s picture on DVD, Blu-Ray, video on demand and available for download three days before its theatrical run on May 24.
Weird.
The maneuver is being implemented to give audiences a choice of how they’d prefer to see this tale of a young man who strikes a deal with the devil and discovers demons in London.
No word yet on a U.S. release.
