The delayed Renée Zellweger supernatural thriller
On the eve of his second American film’s release, Pandorum, director Christian Alvart will finally see his Case 39 reach the U.S.
Paramount Pictures has set a January 1, 2010 debut.
Starring Renée Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland, Ian McShane and Bradley Cooper, the film – penned by The Crazies‘ Ray Wright, follows a social worker who saves an abused 10-year-old girl from her parents only to discover that the girl is not as innocent as she thinks.
Case 39 doesn’t face any genre competition that day, but Lionsgate’s Daybreakers hits the following week. After Carriers and Paranormal Activity – the latter release earlier this month and the latter opening this week – I think that about does it as far as delayed genre titles sitting on the Paramount shelf.
