Death & Final Destination Top Box Office Again

Is a fifth chapter on the way?

The Final Destination ruled the box office again, winning the three-day Labor Day holiday weekend.

The fourth, and 3-D, chapter in the series earned an estimated $12.4 million bringing its domestic total to $47 million so far. Dimension Films’ Halloween II, meanwhile, slipped from number three to number six grossing an additional $5.2 million. Rob Zombie’s sequel has grossed a total of $25 million.

In spite of being called the last installment in the series, rumblings have floated our way saying The Final Destination isn’t the end and a fifth chapter is now being mulled over. (Money talks, gang.) We’ll see if those plans pan out.
