From the screenwriter of Orphan
Announced previously as an “eco-horror” film, The Colony is once again building some steam. The project, whose plot was shrouded in secrecy at the time it hit the press, once had writers Stacy Title and Jonathan Penner attached.
According to Variety, Orphan scribe David Leslie Johnson is now at work on the script for Participant Media and Vertigo Entertainment. It’s now said to be like The Birds except with bugs.
Vertigo’s Roy Lee and Doug Davison produce along with Steven Schneider.
Johnson is also adapting Lake Mungo for Vertigo.
