Konami rep talks acquisition
The Saw video game has had a bumpy ride. After its developer, Brash Entertainment, went bankrupt the project went into limbo until it was picked up by Konami, best known to horror fans for its Silent Hill series. Now the game is on trace for release this October on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, just in time for Saw VI.
ClanBase nabbed a few screen shots from the game, one of which you’ll find below, along with some quotes from David Daniels, director of marketing for Konami. “Because we have leadership in the survival horror genre, we’re passionate about it and wanted to find another property on par with ‘Silent Hill,'” he says. “‘Saw’ has grossed over $600 million worldwide and sold over 16 million DVDs, so we felt like it was a great opportunity to align ourselves with one of the most successful horror film franchises in history.”
