Jeez, this sounds awfully familiar
Devil’s Due Publishing’s “Hack/Slash” – and the forthcoming feature film – is about a young woman who roams the country looking for slashers to kill. The property, created by Tim Seeley, has been around for a few years now.
Eve is a horror film from indie production outfit Ratio Pictures. It’s the story of a woman who “tracks down and killers supernatural killers.” This project was just announced today.
Elaine Hendrix will co-produce and star alongside Jordan Matthews. Other producers on board include Brian Metcalf and Karoline Kautz. Metcalf scripted Eve and is also directing. This team recently wrapped the supernatural thriller Fading of the Cries with Brad Dourif.
Will Eve put a dent in the feature film plans for Hack/Slash? Highly doubtful. Eve, according to Variety, won’t even begin shooting until 2010.
