Release Date Change, Various MPAA Ratings

Kelly’s Box moved…again

We’ve got one release date change to report today and it concerns the most fidgety film of 2009: Richard Kelly’s The Box. Once again, Warner Bros. has shifted it to a new weekend – this time it’s October 30th.

That’s a move up from its last position which placed it in late November. Right now it faces no Halloween competition other than Saw 6 which opens on October 23rd.

The MPAA has announced the ratings for a quartet of upcoming films. Here’s a breakdown:

• The Cell 2: R for violence and torture, some language and brief sexuality

• Triangle: R for some violence

• Laid to Rest: R for pervasive strong bloody horror violence and gore, language, some sexual content, nudity and brief drug use

• A Perfect Getaway: R for graphic violence, language including sexual references and some drug use
