Craven: 25/8 Title Here to Stay

Composer officially on board

Setting the record straight over recent rumors that 25/8 is no longer going to be the title of his latest film, Craven offered us this clarification.

“The original title was Bug which is the central character. We were a little concerned about locking ourselves into that title because people were a bit confused about it. Was it a date, or whatever? If we had to do it all over again, we should have just left it as Untitled Wes Craven Project,” he jokes. “But we’re fond of 25/8 now. If enough people know what it’s about – what the title means – 24/7 isn’t enough, 25/8…it’s as simple as that.”

Max Thierot plays Adam “Bug” Heller, a young man who lives in the town of Riverton where legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Sixteen years later, people are disappearing again which begs the questions: Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead?

For 25/8 Craven is bringing aboard composer Marco Beltrami who has worked with the director since Scream in 1996.
