Pulled out of the summer fray
Peter Cornwell’s horror film A Haunting in Connecticut, loosely based on the events that befell a family, has been pushed up from a June 19th release to March 27th. That’s a drastic shift, but perhaps a wise one. Lionsgate no longer has to be concerned about competing with the upcoming summer movie fare, however, their decision now positions the film against Monsters vs. Aliens.
Virginia Madsen, Elias Koteas, Martin Donovan and Kyle Gallner star in this tale of a family who settle down in Connecticut for their son’s cancer treatment. In their new home, Matt grows increasingly disturbed by paranormal activity that seems to inhabit and possess the house. At a loss to help her frightened family, his mother turns to an enigmatic priest who appears to rid the house of its ghosts– until the boy’s condition takes a sudden and unexplained turn for the worse and their lives are put in grave danger.
