MPAA Ratings Rundown

Four titles under the gun

The MPAA has unveiled the ratings for a quartet of thrillers coming our way.

Jonathan Liebesman’s The Killing Room, a Sundance entry this year, is getting an R for “for violent content and language.” Big Screen Entertainment Group’s Babysitter Wanted got smacked with a similar rating for “for strong grisly violence including disturbing images, torture and terror, some language and drug use.” The Beacon, the supernatural yarn starring Teri Polo, is R “for some violent and disturbing content.” And, finally, The Poker Club with Johnathon Schaech is R “for violence, language, some nudity and drug content.” That title is rumored to have been picked up by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
