Battlestar’s McClure Talks Corn

The remake of the Stephen King flick

This year will see a return to Children of the Corn, a reinterpretation of the Stephen King story Donald P. Borchers. It’s set to air on the Sci-Fi Channel sometime this year and the network’s news blog Sci-Fi Wire spoke a bit with actress Kandyse McClure (Battlestar Galactica) about her part in the film, the tone and whether we can expect to see her return in a sequel.

“I think we’re trying for the psychological thriller, for the implied violence,” she says. “It is pretty gory. I have to say there’s a lot of blood. There’s definitely a lot of blood. But the stuff with the kids is really what creeps me out. It creeped me out watching it on set, and I imagine after they’ve rendered and doctored it and put the music in that it’ll be even more disturbing. But there is a lot of gore.”

McClure co-stars with David Anders, Daniel Newman (interview) and Preston Bailey. For the full interview click here!
