First Photos: Drag Me to Hell, The Unborn

Official synopsis for Goyer film

Two films you’ll be reading about throughout this year’s San Diego Comic-Con coverage is Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell, starring Alison Lohman, and David Goyer’s The Unborn, both of which will be previewed next week.

EW, in anticipation of the Con, tossed up a gallery of 25 stills from various upcoming comic books, TV shows and films. In their coverage, they revealed two stills: One for Hell, the other for Unborn. Click on either image below for the full gallery.

The second one you see, for Unborn, features Gary Oldman and Odette Yustman. It’s due next year, however, Universal provided us with a plot synopsis to share:

Casey Bell (Yustman) hated her mother for leaving her as a child. But when inexplicable things start to happen, Casey begins to understand why she left. Plagued by merciless dreams and a tortured ghost that haunts her waking hours, she must turn to the only spirtual advisor, Sendak (Oldman), who can make it stop.

With Sendak’s help, Casey uncovers the source of a family curse dating back to Nazi Germany—a creature with the ability to inhabit anyone or anything that is getting stronger with each possession. With the curse unleashed, her only chance at survival is to shut a doorway from beyond our world that has been pried open by someone who was never born.
