Cloverfield Artist Bites into Piranha 3-D

Who’s designing the prehistoric killers?

A sliver of FX-related news to share, courtesy of Variety. Neville Page, who designed the monstrous beast the crew called “Clover” in Cloverfield, is going to be responsible for creating the voracious underwater fiends that will populate Alexandre Aja’s Piranha 3-D. As it has been reported in the past, the piranha in Aja’s remake of the Joe Dante-directed film will be of the prehistoric variety. Dimension Films has slated to release the film July 24, 2009.
