Fangoria reports today that Jeff Buhler’s directorial debut, Insanitarium, is getting a release date of July 15th. The catch? Pic is going direct-to-DVD via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment with deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, a storyboard gallery and a digital copy of the film.
Buhler, who also penned the screen adaptation of Midnight Meat Train, gathered a cast that includes Jesse Metcalfe and Peter Stormare for his feature which concerns a young man who commits himself to a psychiatric hospital to save his sister. While there, he discovers the doctor there is out of his mind and is turning the patients into flesh-eating maniacs!
