Two join Screen Gems’ remake
Amber Heard*, star of the upcoming All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, is replacing actress Adrianne Palicki in Screen Gems’ The Stepfather remake. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Palicki’s people cite “scheduling issues” as the reason for her departure.
In other casting news, Jon Tenney (“The Closer”) also joined the remake. He’ll play a father trying to reconnect with his son, played by Penn Badgley. Things go bad for the lad when his mama (Sela Ward) marries the titular baddie, now embodied by Dylan Walsh (“Nip/Tuck”). Heard plays Badgley’s girlfriend in the film.
