Catherine Hardwicke’s big screen adaptation
Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz will star in Summit Entertainment’s vampire franchise, Twilight, directed by Catherine Hardwicke from a script by Melissa Rosenberg.
The actors join Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Justin Chon, Anna Kendrick, Rachelle Lefevre, Cam Cigandet and Michael Welch in the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s series.
The story revolves around Bella Swan (Stewart), a 17-year-old who moves to a small town in Washington to live with her father and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen (Pattinson), a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. She learns he is a vampire.
The book has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide and spawned two sequels, “New Moon” and “Eclipse.”
