Slamdance ’08: Monster Slayer Team Eye Remake

More Canadian horror to update

Canadian producers Patrick White and Trevor Matthews, of Brookstreet Entertainment, and director Jon Knautz descended on the Slamdance Film Festival this year to present the incredibly impressive Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer.

Not at all deterred by the slow process of finding “Brooks” a distributor, the Brookstreet team say they’ve got a few projects they’re considering next, including a remake. “If we had the rights, we’d mention what it is,” Matthews tells us. “We’ve got our eye on an ’80s film that would make a killer remake.” Adds White: “It is a Canadian horror film but it’s not that well-known and I think we can put a fresh spin on it.”

A full interview with the “Brooks” boys coming soon. In the meantime, click on the title above and read our review!
