Updates on The Factory and Orphan
Orphan, the Dark Castle horror flick, has landed its titular tyke. Young actress Isabelle Fuhrman will star as Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga’s adopted child. This will be Fuhrman’s big Hollywood break.
Written by David Leslie Johnson, the story concerns a couple who lose a child and adopt another…with a dark past. Dark Castle re-teams with director Jaume Collet-Serra of 2005’s House of Wax. Shooting has begun in Toronto.
In somewhat related news, actor Nathan Phillips has joined the cast of Dark Castle’s The Factory. Phillips, you may recall, starred in Greg McLean’s Wolf Creek. Moviehole broke the scoop and says he’s playing opposite John Cusack; no other details about Phillips’ character were revealed.
