Will the franchise continue?
ShockTillYouDrop.com caught up with Sunshine director Danny Boyle on Thursday evening and we asked him if he would make a third film in the “28” franchise, which includes 28 Days Later… and 28 Weeks Later.
“Oh, we’ve definitely got an idea of where it’ll turn next but who knows if it’ll ever happen,” Boyle told us.
But could he make it without Fox Atomic, which is said to be cutting back on horror movies?
“That’s complicated because the series is big in the U.S. so I don’t think we ever could. But let’s see, we definitely got an idea of the next one,” he said.
Boyle directed 28 Days Later… and executive produced 28 Weeks Later. Sunshine opens in theaters on July 20.
