For new DTV adventure
A widespread announcement from Warner Premiere â the WBâs direct-to-vid label â has given indication that everyoneâs favorite âbio-exorcistâ is finally being exhumed for his long-awaited sequel.
According to Moviehole, Warner states in a press release that Beetlejuice 2 will join a spate of forthcoming DTV sequels from the studio which will include The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe and the recently completed Return to House on Haunted Hill.
Tim Burton will executive produce the follow-up and one would need some powerful necro-magic to truly believe the original filmâs star Michael Keaton will return. One thing to set us at ease: There was no mention of the words âBeetlejuiceâ or âHawaiiâ in the release which could mean the proposed Beetlejuice in Hawaii sequel that has been in the rumor mill for years has finally been laid to rest.
