Selina Wu (played by Lydia Look) has been a very interesting character in General Hospital since she first made her appearance back in 2015. She has continued to be a key member and one of the most thrilling heads of a crime family.
But recently, Selina Wu had to depart Port Charles, perhaps for good. Her fate remains unclear right now.
What happened to Lydia Look’s Selina Wu in General Hospital?
Lydia Look’s Selina Wu first made an appearance in General Hospital in 2015 as the head of the Wu family. Her character was always strong and dominant. Since her first appearance, she has been involved in many interesting arcs, mostly involving other crime families.
She made sporadic appearances in 2015 and 2017 but only returned for a slightly longer arc in 2021. In the years that followed, she appeared sporadically again, participating in some exciting arcs through 2023 and 2024. However, the recent arc in which Wu appeared seems to have turned things around for her completely.
In 2024, when Selina returned, she discovered a traitor in her crew. She let Sonny interrogate the traitor, Li, in exchange for permission to run her poker games in Port Charles again. Poker games have always been part of her character arc and have been one of her most profitable business models.
This arc also led to a major showdown that ended with an ambush and the eventual intervention of the police. After this, Selina reappeared in January 2025 to tell Coady to repay his debt.
On July 2, 2025, an episode of General Hospital, Selina Wu’s life took an abrupt turn. She discovered that Jenz Sidwell had framed her for the firebomb that burned Charlie’s to the ground and endangered Kristina’s life. To avoid payback from Sonny, Selina had to skip town following this.
Now, it is unclear if her character will ever make a comeback to the town, and if so, how.
