General Hospital: Why Does Willow Agree to Marry Drew?

General Hospital has made a massive leap in Drew and Willow’s relationship, with the latter finally agreeing to marry the former. But there are some logical reasons involved in this matter. Find out why Willow finally agreed to marry Drew.

Why does Willow agree to marry Drew on General Hospital?

General Hospital brought back the Drew and Willow question in its latest episode. After Drew comes back from a run, he finds Willow emotionally exhausted. Drew offers to make her breakfast, but she refuses to eat. She seemingly has no motivation without her kids.

Drew asks her if she has thought about his proposal. She says she did, but blames Drew for losing her kids. After all, Drew’s antics led to Willow losing her children to Michael. Drew accepts the blame and admits that he should never have taken her to DC with him. Their conversation leads to Willow making excuses for what he did and why.

Drew says that, going forward, they need to consult a lawyer before making each move. This may have cost them the custody in the first place. Willow further expresses that getting married just because a lawyer said so feels like the wrong motivation. But Drew says he wants to marry her no matter what. Of course, the marriage makes sense if they plan to get the kids back.

Martin arrives a while later and puts forth his opinion on the marriage. He says that Drew’s restored reputation will give them a better chance at getting the kids back. Though they agree that it could be a long and difficult process, even if they get married.

After Martin leaves, Willow tells Drew that the lawyer gave her some hope and that she is ready to marry. The sequence ends with Drew and Willow kissing. So, she ultimately accepts the proposal because it gives her a better chance of getting her kids back.

The upcoming episodes of General Hospital will explore this in more detail.
