Rumors have circulated that Kimberlin Brown might exit The Bold and the Beautiful as Sheila Carter.
However, current storylines do not suggest that Sheila is leaving. The show presumed her dead last year in February but brought her back in a dramatic twist on the April 29 episode. The writers revealed that Steffy had killed Sheila’s lookalike, Sugar, not Sheila herself.
Kimberlin Brown confirmed to Deadline that she thought she had exited the show permanently. “I truly thought I was gone… I even bought property in Montana,” she said, adding that she was preparing to leave Los Angeles. Head writer Brad Bell called her back just before she was set to move. Brown has since negotiated a new contract. “Getting that call… was one of the best calls I’ve ever received in my life.”
On the show, Sheila has been involved in a tense subplot with Luna. Deacon asked her directly, that she had nothing to do with your granddaughter. Sheila admitted she had been meeting with Luna, despite previously promising to stay away.
Meanwhile, Luna continues confronting Steffy, demanding a relationship with Finn. Steffy reminds her, “You tried to kill me.” Finn arrives and tells Luna she is not welcome. Ridge and Taylor express concern that Luna is unstable and could harm Steffy.
As of June 2025, there is no official sign that Sheila will be written off. Despite the dangerous company she keeps, including Luna, the show has not teased a new exit for her. Brown herself said, “I am happy to say that I have been asked to negotiate another contract.”
