Viewers are eager to know whether Paramount+ has renewed or canceled MobLand Season 2. Created by Ronan Bennett, this British crime drama centers on two mob families, the Harrigans and the Stevensons, whose rivalry threatens both their empires and lives. To protect their empire and cover their tracks, the Harrigans enlist a street-smart fixer, Harry Da Souza.
With Season 1 now concluded, many are wondering if another installment is on the way. Here are the details.
Is MobLand Season 2 renewed or canceled by Paramount+?
Paramount+ has neither renewed nor canceled MobLand Season 2.
The first season concluded on June 1, 2025, and there has been no official announcement about a follow-up. However, Tom Hardy, who plays Harry, hinted at a possible second season in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. He revealed there are ongoing plans for more episodes and shared additional insights on what could come next.
He said, “The plan is definitely to see more seasons. The question is: Does it become international? There are international elements to organized crime, which are touched on in season one. The control of drugs and ammunition and weapons and people and all kinds of things that go through Europe and from Africa through to South America, Pakistan… and the variable commodities that move around Europe.”
A show’s renewal typically depends on audience reception and streaming performance. In MobLand’s case, the series has earned strong viewership and reviews, which increases the likelihood of renewal. While Paramount+ has not made a formal decision, signs point to a strong chance that Season 2 will happen, given the show’s popularity, critical reception, and cast interest in continuing.
The expected returning cast includes: Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Teddie Allen, Joanne Froggatt, and Janet McTeer, alongside other key characters from the Harrigan family.
