Ben Affleck recently praised his ex-wife Jennifer Garner in a new interview. He also shared details about their co-parenting life and how they handled gossip and rumors. Affleck and Garner, who were married from 2005 to 2018, share three children. His personal life and relationships have been the subject of significant scrutiny and media attention.
Here is what Affleck said about Garner.
What did Ben Affleck say about Jennifer Garner?
Ben Affleck called Jennifer Garner a “really good co-parent and partner.”
He also called her “wonderful and great” and mentioned that they had a positive working relationship in a GQ interview. Additionally, he referred to all the speculation, gossip, and rumors about their lives as “more of a headache than anything else.”
Moreover, he stressed that there was nothing “newsworthy” about his personal daily life and his conversations with people that were photographed. Ben Affleck then opened up about how he and Jennifer Garner navigated the rumor mill surrounding them and their children.
Affleck referenced a tactic he and Garner used to set the record straight for their kids. This was for when newspapers would gossip about their life. The Gone Girl actor mentioned how when his and Garner’s children would see something related to them on a “supermarket stand,” they would tell them “You know this isn’t always true because if it were, you would have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever the number of stories is where they said that your mom was pregnant.”
Two months ago, Page Six reported that Garner and Affleck had become “closer than they’ve ever been since their divorce.” The outlet further mentioned that the two had been “leaning on each other” a lot more following the aftermath of Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez and the Los Angeles fires.
However, neither the couple nor their representatives confirmed Page Six’s report.
Recently, the Daily Mail reported via a source that Ben Affleck was looking to cast Jennifer Garner in his new film. The former couple had previously worked together in 2001’s Pearl Harbor and 2003’s Daredevil.
The source also claimed that Affleck knew of Jennifer Garner’s true acting potential. Further revealing that he felt that it had not been fully realized. They further stated that Affleck believed he was the “right producer” who could provide her with the “right material” to showcase her talent.
