Kagurabachi chapter 42 recap
The chapter begins with a flashback, where Tafuku asks Hiyuki if she can kill Chihiro when the mission ends. She tells him she has to, as the swordsman will never let the enchanted blades go. Meanwhile, at the auction room, the Kamunabi sorcerers notice that Kyora is slowly losing his sanity.
One of the sorcerers states that this display shows only a fraction of the blade’s power. However, their conversation is interrupted as Kyora’s hologram disappears. Back at the storehouse, Chihiro notices that it is crumbling due to Kyora’s unstable state. Meanwhile, Kyora tried to stop the blade and the original user from possessing his body.
Hiyuki suggests that they must kill Kyora now. However, they are suddenly transported to the auction room. Kyora then attacks with the blade, killing many of the audience with his technique. Shiba arrives, and they all regroup with Hakuri. Hiyuki again suggests killing Kyora.
However, Hakuri warns against it, as killing him could cause the storehouse to collapse with the prisoners still trapped. He tells them the only way would be for someone to go down and infuse all the prisoners with spirit energy so he can bring them out. The chapter ends with Hakuri sending Chihiro to the storehouse as he tries to save Inazuma’s sister.
