Ji Chang Wook Upcoming K-Dramas & Movie

Ji Chang Woo is one of the top stars in South Korea’s entertainment industry. The actor is known for his versatility, charismatic on-screen presence, and brilliant acting. He has been a part of several notable and hit K-dramas over the years. The list includes Healer, Suspicious Partner, Lovestruck in the City, The Sound of Magic, The Worst of Evil, and most recently, Welcome to Samdal-Ri.

Other than K-dramas, Ji Chang Wook has also acted in several noteworthy Korean movies, including Hard Hit, Fabricated City, The Bros, and more. The actor has a highly intriguing line-up of upcoming K-dramas, which includes director Park Noo Ri’s Gangnam B-Side and the TVING drama Queen Woo, among others. He is also all set to portray a villainous role in the highly awaited 2024 movie Revolver.

Revolver

It is a much-anticipated crime-action Korean film that will premiere on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in theaters in South Korea. Renowned filmmaker Oh Seung Uk is the director of Revolver, while Han Jae Deok has acted as the producer. PLUSM Entertainment serves as the film distributor.

Revolver will see Ji Chang Wook in a menacing villainous character, Andy. Besides him, the cast of the new Korean film includes Secret Sunshine’s Jeon Do Yeon as Soo Young and The Glory’s Lim Ji Yeon as Yun Sun. The movie will center around the themes of betrayal and revenge, following the story of a police detective and a man named Andy.

Queen Woo

It is a much-awaited historical action K-drama that will debut on TVING in 2024. Queen Woo will also be available to watch on the streaming platform Parmount+ in selected regions. Actor Ji Chang Woo will portray the male lead, Go Nam Mu, aka King Gogukcheon of Goguryeo. Actress Jeon Jing Seo will play the female lead, Woo Hee, aka Queen U of Goguryeo.

The K-drama will chronicle the story of the struggle to establish a new King within a day after the news of King Gogukcheon Goguryeo’s demise spreads and ignites a colossal battle between different tribes. Apart from Ji Chang Woo and Jeong Jong Seo, the cast of Queen Woo also includes Lee Soo Hyuk, Kim Mu Yeol, Park Ji Hwan, and more.

Gangnam B-Side

It is another highly awaited crime thriller K-drama expected to premiere in 2024 on Disney Plus. Park Noo Ri has directed the upcoming series and, along with Joo Won Kyu, wrote Gangnam B-Side. Actor Ji Chang Wook will play Yoon Gil Ho, one of the central roles in the drama.

Gangnam B-Side will depict the thrilling story of a pariah detective who delves deep into the world of corruption, drugs, and vice after a girl, who is his daughter’s friend, goes missing. While investigating the case, he uncovers something threatening to a group of elite individuals. The drama also stars Jo Woo Jin and Ha Yoon Kyung, among others.

Sculpture City

It is a highly fascinating upcoming revenge thriller K-drama. The renowned screenplay writer of Taxi Driver, Oh Sang Ho, writes the series. Meanwhile, Kim Chang Ju directs the drama. Ji Chang Wook is all set to play one of the central characters in Sculpture City. Popular South Korean actor and K-pop boy band Exo’s member Doh Kyung Soo, aka D.O., will play the antagonist in the series.

Sculpture City will chronicle the story of a man whose life turns into a complete hell after being manipulated by a villainous character who ‘sculpts’ real hells for people to live in.

Thus, fans are in for an amazing line-up of brand-new projects starring actor Ji Chang Wook.
