There’s a flashback of Vegapunk and Clover talking in Punk Hazard from 26 years ago where Clover asks Vegapunk for help with his research on the Void Century. Vegapunk refuses since he works for the Government now. Clover says his brother who had “D” in his name was killed right in front of him. Clover then reveals his real name and mentions that he lied to survive.
22 years ago, Vegapunk and Caesar heard about the Buster Call on Ohara. After that, Vegapunk visits Ohara and cries in front of the lake. Going back to the present, Vegapunks’s broadcast continues.
Zoro and Jinbei have made it to the Thousand Sunny and Nusjuro is on his way back. Lilith tells the Straw Hats that they can’t take off with Nusjuro in the way. If he attacks midair, the ship won’t reach the ocean. Atlas shows up and hits Lilith to knock her out. She turns off something on Lilith’s head, and York notices that Lilith’s signal has disappeared.
Atlas tells them to take care of Lilith. Nusjuro is heading back for the Thousand Sunny, but Atlas grabs him. He cuts one of her arms but she uses her shoes and her jetpack to send Nusjuro away while the Sunny heads off.
At the shore, Emeth talks to Luffy, saying he’s glad to meet Joy Boy again. Luffy is wondering who Emeth is talking to. Emeth says it’s talking to Luffy and vows to protect him. Brogy asks Luffy if the robot is one of them. Luffy tells him the robot will protect Joy Boy and asks who Joy Boy is. Brogy is surprised because they didn’t hear the robot talk.
Ju Peter attacks Emeth while preparing its left arm to attack. However, the attack doesn’t work. Ju Peter bites Emeth’s body, eating off the arm completely. Emeth uses the other arm to hold Ju Peter, but Saturn hops on Ju Peter to get to the Elbaf ship.
Nusjuro cuts Atlas, and then she blows herself up. The explosion blows off a part of Nusjuro’s face. Vegapunk’s broadcast continues talking about Roger and his crew. While the Sunny is flying to the sea, Usopp and Chopper mourn for Atlas. York informs the Gorosei (Five Elders) that Atlas’ signal is gone.
Ju Peter and Warcury attack Emeth. Smoke is coming out of its arm and it talks about the “right time” Joy Boy mentioned. In Vegapunk’s message, he says Roger’s crew probably heard the unaltered voice of the past. He mentions something about what will happen in the future of the world. The Impel Down prisoners are confused at the mention of Gol “D.” Roger.
