Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 Ending Explained & Spoilers: What Happens to Every Character?

Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 premiered on Netflix on June 13 and many fans have been eager to know what happens to their favorite characters at the end. Chris Van Dusen created the Netflix show as an adaptation of the namesake book series by Julia Quinn. Set in an alternate version of early 19th-century England, the plot predominantly revolves around the members of the eponymous family as they navigate the contemporary English high society in pursuit of meaning, recognition, and love.

In Season 3, the narrative focuses on the romance between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). Here is everything that happens to them and other important characters in Season 3 Episode 8.

What happens to all characters at the end of Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 8?

The end of the third season’s finale highlights moments of change for several members of the Bridgerton family. Some decide to leave the country to begin the next chapter of their lives, while others find peace by publicly acknowledging certain truths about themselves.

Penelope and Colin

Toward the end of Season 3 Episode 6, Colin learns that Penelope is Lady Whistledown. Although furious and disappointed, he still goes through with the wedding. Eventually, they make amends, and Penelope sends a letter to the queen admitting that she is Lady Whistledown. The queen later forgives Penelope after she publicly confesses the truth. This, in turn, puts a stop to Cressida’s attempts to blackmail Penelope. The final scene of the season takes place after a time skip. Penelope is the mother to a boy now. She still publishes Lady Whistledown’s Society Papers, though she now writes under her real name.

Benedict

This season, Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) undergoes sexual reawakening because of his intimate relationship with Lady Tilley Arnold and Paul Suarez. However, when Tilley expresses her desire to have a more exclusive relationship with only Benedict, the latter pulls back, unwilling to let go of his newfound freedom.

Francesca

In the Season 3 finale, Francesca (Hannah Dodd) marries John Stirling and relocates to Scotland with him. She also meets John’s cousin Michaela. The sixth book in the Bridgerton series, When He Was Wicked, revolves around the romance between Francesca and John’s cousin Michael. It appears that the Netflix series is branching away from what happens to Francesca in Julia Quinn’s novels and this could become a same-sex romance at the center of the narrative in one of the future seasons.

Eloise

Young and optimistic, Eloise (Claudia Jessie) wants to change the world. In the season finale, she moves to Scotland with Francesca and Francesca’s husband, so she can start experiencing the world she wants to change.

Anthony and Kate

In Season 3 Part 2, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) depart for India so that their unborn child can learn about Kate’s side of the family. They have plans to return to England at some point in the future.

Violet

Violet (Ruth Gemmell) ends the season with the prospect of a romance with Lord Marcus Anderson, a show-original character and Lady Danbury’s sibling.
