As per CBS News, on May 25, Nicki Minaj was arrested and subsequently fined at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport after authorities allegedly found “soft drugs” in her luggage. In a social media post on X (formerly known as Twitter), The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee stated, “We have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon at Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.” The translation of the Dutch authorities’ social media post also says, “After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey.”
While authorities did not confirm who it was in their post, Minaj posted about the same incident on X, confirming that it was her. She later shared another post, wherein she wrote, “They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me. They got caught stealing money from my travel/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc.”
