The Maze Runner Reboot Release Date Rumors: When Is It Coming Out?

After reports of The Maze Runner Reboot‘s development hit the web, fans are curious about when it could be coming out and whether or not it has a release date. The Maze Runner is an action-adventure science-fiction dystopian film franchise based on the book series of the same name by James Dashner, which ran for three films between 2014 and 2018. The franchise features The Maze Runner (2014), Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) and Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018).

Here’s all The Maze Runner Reboot release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a The Maze Runner Reboot release date?

The Maze Runner Reboot does not have an official release date, but it will likely be announced in the future.

Since 20th Century Studios and Walt Disney Company are reportedly currently on the search for a writer to develop the script, they have not yet announced a release date. A release date for the Maze Runner reboot will likely be announced once the development and production of the reboot have been set in motion.

As per The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Jack Paglen, best known for his work on Johnny Depp’s Transcendence, is in talks with 20th Century Studios to take on the role of The Maze Runner reboot’s scribe. Additional crew members reportedly include producers Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Lee Stollman (Gotham Group), Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen (Temple Hill), and also Wes Ball, who previously helmed the original three The Maze Runner movies.

There is currently no confirmed cast for The Maze Runner reboot. ComingSoon will provide updates on that front when we receive word of who has been cast in the upcoming reboot.

Where is The Maze Runner Reboot coming out?

The Maze Runner Reboot could come out in theaters.

This is because the original The Maze Runner movies first arrived in theaters, before they made their way onto digital platforms and streaming services.

According to THR, The Maze Runner Reboot will not be a redo of the original three films directed by Wes Ball, instead it will serve as a continuation of the story established by the films, while also trying to make use of elements that attracted audiences to the films in the first place.
