Plot – what’s the story about?
Eric Season 1’s story is reportedly set in 1980s New York, and revolves around Vincent Anderson, a puppeteer who becomes involved in a desperate and harrowing search for his missing son Edgar, when he does not return home from school one day.
As teased by the trailer, Vincent’s desperation over his missing son, takes a toll on his mental health and after he winds up having issues with substance abuse, gradually falls insane and becomes volatile which inadvertently alienates him from his wife and close friends, who find themselves baffled and helpless over his current mental state. Vincent eventually comes to believe that his 7-foot-tall puppet named Eric is the key to helping him find his missing son.
