In January this year, the release date of the film moved from August 9 to September 13, 2024. The film received an announcement back in April 2023 with James McAvoy joining the cast. Later due to delays in filming and production because of the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the release date of the film moved to September 13, 2024.

In this trailer we see Patrick (James McAvoy) introducing his wife and son to Ben (Scoot McNairy) and his family. Patrick invites them over to their countryside house for a visit. This house seems to be very isolated, without any neighbors. As soon as Ben, Louise, and their daughter Agnes arrive, they find the familyâs behavior to be very strange. What stands out is Patrick and Kiraâs son, Ant, and his behavior, as he does not speak a word. Soon, Ben and his family face weird and eerie situations in this countryside house and are also seen attacked by Patrick and his wife Ciara. They fight back but what comes after is not revealed.

Plot â whatâs the story about?
A familyâs visit to another familyâs countryside house, whom they met on a trip, goes from being a quiet vacation to a psychological nightmare.
In this film, Patrick, Ciara, and Ant meet Ben, Louise, and Agnes, while on a trip. Patrick invites Ben and his family over to their countryside house to visit. As they have a nice time together, Ben agrees without hesitating. When Ben and his family get there, they begin to have strange encounters with Patrick, Ciara, and Ant. Ant who does not speak, behaves strangely, followed by Patrick who also begins to act up. Soon, Ben Louise, and Agnes find themselves trapped in a madhouse with no way out. They have to stick together and try to make it out alive from the psychological episode they got themselves in.
