Halo Season 2: Who Dies in Episode 8, the Finale?

With Halo Season 2 episode 8 featuring multiple deaths, many fans want clarity on who died and who survived in the finale. So, here’s everything you need to know about the major character deaths displayed in episode 8, “Halo.”

Who dies in the finale of Halo Season 2?

Kai-125

Crashing a Covenant Corvette into the massive Covenant Assault Carrier, Kai-125 made a bold sacrificial move. She was spotted amidst the ship’s debris in her damaged suit.

Since her suit has space sustainability, it is possible that she was only knocked unconscious and could be saved by surviving Spartans such as Perez, or a UNSC search party. But the way her body was shown floating in space, it’s likely that the explosion killed her.

Parangosky and humans on Onyx

Starting from UNSC scientist Janine, The Flood spores spread across the UNSC base on Onyx through physical contact. It infected and took control of most humans and turned them into ugly Flood Zombies. Among the crucial characters who fell victim to The Flood was Admiral Margaret Parangosky. A hoard of parasites cannibalized her and got her infected.

Another infected character was Dr. Halsey. But unlike Parangosky and other UNSC humans, she didn’t die as Miranda Keyes put her in cryo-sleep to stop The Flood from taking over her body. Now, she’d likely come up with a cure to reverse its effects.

Laera

Soren and Kwan Ha were successful in retrieving Kessler and Laera. Ackerson also joined them as they fought through The Flood-infected UNSC soldiers. While he, Soren, Kwan, and Kessler got out, Laera had to stay back as she was infected too. So, she is also considered dead (or has become an undead Flood Zombie) like Parangosky.

The Arbiter

On Halo, Master Chief fought the Arbiter one last time. The latter had the upper hand for most of the fight. But John-117 fought valiantly and turned things around. He gave the Arbiter an honorable soldier’s death and avenged Vannak-134 in the process.

Multiple Spartans, UNSC soldiers, and Covenant soldiers

In the Convenant-human war, several Spartans and UNSC soldiers died as Parangosky kept sending them into battle. Many Covenant soldiers also perished at the hands of John, Kai, Perez, and other Spartans. Furthermore, Kai’s move of taking down the Assault Carrier gave humans the advantage and killed even more Covenant soldiers.
