Created by Abe Sylvia from Juliet McDaniel’s 2019 novel Mr. & Mrs. American Pie, Palm Royale is a period drama series streaming on Apple TV Plus. Set in the late ’60s, the plot revolves around Maxine Simmons, a former beauty queen from Tennessee as she tries to establish herself in the exclusive high society of Palm Beach. Her point of entry is a country club significantly beyond her means, but she doesn’t let that deter her. The first season premiered on March 20, 2024. Interested in knowing whether there will be a second season of Palm Royale? This is everything we have found out.
Here’s all we know about Palm Royale Season 2 and whether or not it’s coming out.
Is there a Palm Royale Season 2 release date?
There is no Palm Royale Season 2 release date as the show was reportedly developed as a miniseries.
Several outlets list Palm Royale as a miniseries, so the chances for a second season are rather low. As mentioned above, the series is an adaptation of Juliet McDaniel’s source material, and that doesn’t have a sequel. If the 10 episodes slated to release between March and May 2024 cover the entirety of the book, the series will most likely end with the tenth episode.
The cast includes Kristen Wiig as Maxine Simmons, Ricky Martin as Robert, and Josh Lucas as Douglas Simmons. Amber Chardae Robinson (Virginia), Allison Janney (Evelyn), and Laura Dern (Linda) also feature in the show.
Why Palm Royale Season 2 might not be happening
Palm Royale Season 2 probably isn’t coming out because, as mentioned above, Abe Sylvia reportedly created the show as a miniseries.
ComingSoon will provide an update if there is an official announcement about the second season of Palm Royale.
The official synopsis for Palm Royale reads:
“In 1969, an ambitious woman aspires to cross the line between the haves and have-nots to secure her seat at America’s most exclusive, fashionable, and treacherous table: Palm Beach high society.”
