David Letterman supported Taylor Swift’s presence at the NFL games and her relationship with Travis Kelce.

A new video posted on David Letterman’s Instagram page saw the host defending Taylor Swift. He stated that Swift’s presence at the Chiefs games has been great for football, and asked haters to stop with the trolling and embrace her goodness. But despite his wishes and blessings for the pop star, the highlight of the video came when he got Travis Kelce’s name wrong.

Yes, David Letterman confused Travis Kelce’s name with Kelsey Grammer.

In the above video, Letterman proved that he is also a Swifty. But he accidentally referred to Travis Kelce as the veteran actor, Kelsey Grammer. While he meant to talk about the Tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, he used the name of the 68-year-old Frasier actor instead.  

Letterman says:

“So now here’s Taylor Swift, who is a glowing bright light of goodness in the world, and she starts dating Kelsey Grammer. The Kelce Grammer people say, ‘Oh, no, no, no, don’t bother us, we’re all caught up in football, we don’t want Taylor and football.'”

He continued:

“And the Taylor Swift people, the Swifties, are saying, ‘Oh, we don’t want a footballer in here with Kelsey Grammer.’ And I say to both camps, ‘This is such a lovely thing, shut up! It’s good for the footballers. It’s good for Taylor Swift and it’s something positive and happy for the world.’ And also, politically, Taylor Swift is a huge force, and I think just wants to see people do the right thing. So God bless Taylor Swift and Kelsey Grammer.”

After repeatedly referring to Travis Kelce as Kelsey Grammer, Letterman was corrected by someone in the background of the video. He continued to shut them down in the funniest ways possible but finally made the rectification towards the end.
