In July 2021, Mr. Iglesias became one of the shows that Netflix decided not to renew for another season along with Kevin James’ The Crew, Katherine McPhee and Eddie Cibrian’s Country Comfort, and Rightor Doyle’s Bonding. Despite this, Netflix decided to continue their business relationships with James, Doyle, and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, who portrays a fictional version of himself in Mr. Iglesias. In 2022, Iglesias released his third Netflix stand-up special, Stadium Fluffy.
