Based on the Japanese manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo, Fire Force is a science fantasy action adventure anime TV show. The plot is set in a world that was set on fire in a catastrophic event of titanic proportions, known as the Great Cataclysm. In the aftermath, a considerable number of survivors made a home in the newly-founded Tokyo Empire. As the world changed, so did religion, science, infrastructure, and biology — all becoming fire and energy-oriented. The main plot begins 198 years after the Great Cataclysm and revolves around Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic, who joins the Special Fire Force Company 8 with the aspirations of becoming a hero and finding the truth about what happened to his family.

The Fire Force Season 3 release date could arrive by summer 2024 at the earliest.
In May 2022, Fire Force was officially greenlit for the third season. According to reports, a year later, the official Japanese account of the series announced that Season 3 was finally in production. Seasons of anime take significant time to produce, and after the end of Season 2, the anime rendition of Fire Force was rather close to catching up to the source material. Both these factors likely played a role in the apparent delay in the Season 3 release. Moreover, there are rumors that Studio Shaft has taken up the developing duties for Season 3, replacing David Production. As things stand now, it’s safe to speculate that Fire Force Season 3 can come out in summer 2024 at the earliest.

As a faction that is creating Infernals appears, Shira begins to uncover the truth behind a mysterious fire that caused the death of his family twelve years ago.”
