Rumors of a Magneto and Brotherhood of Mutants MCU film being considered by Marvel Studios have hit the web and fans are curious about whether or not there is truth to them. Here is all you need to know.
Will there be a Brotherhood of Mutants movie?
A Brotherhood of Mutants movie set in the MCU has not been confirmed as of publishing.
However, according to semi-reliable industry insider Daniel RPK (via Patreon), not only is a Brotherhood of Mutants movie set in the MCU reportedly being considered but Kevin Feige reportedly also wants Magneto to make his first appearance in the MCU via that movie, rather than appearing in the first MCU X-Men film.
Fans should however take this scoop with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmation from Feige and Marvel Studios.
Nonetheless, despite the lack of confirmation, the prospect of a Brotherhood of Mutants movie sounds exciting as fans can finally get to explore another perspective of the human-mutant relationship besides the perspective shown to us via the X-Men films. This would also be a good opportunity to flesh out Magneto as a character and help audiences gravitate toward him and understand his worldviews beyond what was shown in the Fox X-Men universe via Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender’s portrayals.
