Animal Park is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action-thriller film that is slated to serve as a sequel to Animal, the controversial but commercially successful 2023 film, co-written, directed, edited, and produced by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The announcement for the sequel was made through the post-credits scene of the first film, which came out on December 1, 2023. Given that Animal has earned ₹355.7 crore ($42.6 million) against its ₹100 crore (about $12 million) budget as of early December 2023, the studios involved with the project will likely go forward with the sequel. If you are wondering when Animal Park is coming out, we got you covered.
Here’s all the Animal Park release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there an Animal Park release date?
Animal Park’s release date could arrive by the fourth quarter of 2025 at the earliest.
In the post-credits scene of Animal (spoiler warning for those who haven’t watched the film yet), another sibling of the antagonistic Asrar, Abid, and Abrar Haque is introduced. Aziz Haque, a butcher operating out of Istanbul, undergoes plastic surgery to make himself look exactly like Ranvijay “Vijay” Balbir Singh, the protagonist of the film. He and his only remaining brother, Abid, embark on the path of vengeance against Vijay and his family for the deaths of their siblings, effectively setting up the sequel. The words “Animal Park” appears on the screen, indicating that this will be the title of the upcoming film, followed by “come… visit soon.”
Animal spent three to four years in active development, but the sequel may come out as early as the fourth quarter of 2025 if Vanga and his collaborators have a script ready and the actors are available. Vanga’s previous film, Kabir Singh (2019), a Hindi-language remake of his debut feature Arjun Reddy (2017), was developed in two years. Considering the immense success of Animal, it’s possible that everyone involved in the project is eager to replicate it as soon as possible. If that’s not the case, the audience might have to wait until 2026 or 2027 to return to theaters to watch Ranbir Kapoor portraying the dual roles of Vijay and Aziz again.
This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.
The cast likely includes Ranbir Kapoor as Ranvijay “Vijay” Balbir Singh and Aziz Haque, Anil Kapoor as Balbir R. Singh, Rashmika Mandanna as Geetanjali “Geetu” Singh nee Iyengar, Tripti Dimri as Zoya Riaz, Saurabh Sachdeva as Abid Haque, and more.
