Fans are wondering how many times Squid Game: The Challenge‘s Ashley, number 278, jumped on the glass bridge. Did Netflix cut out some of her jumps, or did she really just jump the once? Here’s what you need to know.
How many times did Ashley (278) jump on the glass bridge in Squid Game: The Challenge?
Ashley only jumped once on the glass bridge and managed to survive. But before that, she hid behind Contestant 301, Trey, who had to make three jumps and got eliminated.
Moving into the Glass Bridge challenge, the entire group picked out the numbers that would decide the order of jumps for everyone. But instead of Number 1 trying out all 17 jumps to find out the right tile, the group decided that all players from 1-17 would get a 50-50 chance of survival by overtaking the player ahead of them.
When it came to Player 3, i.e. Trey (301) to decide, he took his 50-50 shot and managed to win. However, Player 4, i.e. Ashley (278) refused to follow what the group agreed upon. On her turn to overtake Trey, she made a selfish move and stood still. As a result, Trey had to take another chance at survival by jumping, which he did.
He managed to survive the second time as well. But Ashley still pushed him to jump for a third time, which turned out to be his last. So, after following Trey’s trail, Ashley had to make the jump and choose the tile that wouldn’t fall. Having nobody to hide behind anymore, she made the jump and was lucky to survive.
The rest of the challenge was played by other contestants who kept overtaking her. While Ashley’s selfish play allowed her to survive the Glass Bridge, it did lead to her nomination for elimination later on.
