The first Madame Web trailer offered a brief glimpse of Adam Scott‘s character and fans are curious to know if the Severance actor is playing Uncle Ben as various online rumors suggested. Here is all you need to know.
Will Adam Scott be Uncle Ben?
Adam Scott has not been officially confirmed to play Uncle Ben in Madame Web as of this writing.
However, According to a 2022 report from Cosmic Circus, Adam Scott will be playing the role of a younger version of Aunt May’s husband and Peter Parker’s famous uncle, who imparts his nephew with the famous “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility” mantra before his iconic death. However, take this with a huge grain of salt, as Sony has not officially confirmed whether or not Scott is playing Uncle Ben.
Aside from what was revealed in the recently released trailer, little is known about Scott’s role in Madame Web. The trailer revealed that Scott is playing a paramedic colleague of Dakota Johnson’s Cassandra Webb, although the colleague’s name was not revealed.
If Scott is revealed as a young Ben Parker, it would be exciting for fans as they will likely get to see aspects of the character that they had not otherwise see. Moreover, if Adam Scott’s character ends up being a major character in the film, it will be fun to see his dynamic with Webb once he learns of her superpowers and the other three Spider-Women in the film.
Furthermore, it is also rumored by fans that Madame Web will also feature a young Mary Parker, Spider-Man’s mother, who is rumored to be played by Emma Roberts. The rumors also state that Mary would be pregnant with Peter Parker in the film. If this is true, then fans could see Ben helping to protect Mary and the not-yet-born Peter.
