Following the conclusion of Loki Season 2, fans are curious to know if Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will return in future MCU projects or if he is done playing the role. Here is all you need to know.
Will Tom Hiddleston’s Loki return in the MCU?
It is unknown if Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will return to the MCU as Marvel Studios has yet to deny or confirm his return in future projects.
Although Tom Hiddleston’s Loki return in future MCU projects is unconfirmed, he could still appear in either Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars, or even both, given that both films will deal with the multiverse and Loki is one of the few MCU characters alongside Doctor Strange and Spider-Man to have experience in that arena.
Moreover, like the Ant-Man family, he also has a connection to Kang via the variants He Who Remains and Victor Timely, and as such, he could prove instrumental in defeating Kang and his other evil variants.
Loki could also likely make a surprise cameo in Deadpool 3 since that film is heavily rumored to deal with the multiverse. Moreover, the TVA, especially Owen Wilson’s Mobius and Tara Strong’s Miss Minutes, are also heavily rumored to appear in the film. Thus, a Loki cameo is not a very far-off possibility.
Is Tom Hiddleston done with the MCU?
Neither Tom Hiddleston nor Marvel Studios have confirmed whether the former is done with the MCU.
Even if Hiddleston does not return to the MCU, there would not be any issues as the character arc for Loki, even if it is an alternate version, came to a satisfying conclusion in the second season finale as Loki went from being a very selfish and evil god who only cared about himself to a more noble and heroic figure who was ready to sacrifice his happiness and satisfaction if it meant his friends would not have to suffer.
