Broxton: Little Asgard
The post-credits scene of Loki season 2 episode 1 sees Sylvie arrive at a town called Broxton in Oklahoma. While it may seem like a regular location at first, it actually has deeper ties to Marvel Comics lore.
In the comics, Broxton in Oklahoma, is the place where Thor rebuilds Asgard after the events of Ragnarok and his rebirth.

The new end credits depict someone reconstructing the events of the episode with miniatures and models.
This acts as a reference to the overall theme of the second season which involves free will versus predetermined fates.
The Temporal Loom has ties to Loki’s Norse origins
It is known that Marvel’s Loki is based on the Norse deity of the same name. Moreover, In Norse myths, the world tree known as Yggdrasil ties the nine realms together and allows travel between each of them.
In Loki season 2, the Temporal Loom essentially functions in the same manner as Yggdrasil wherein the different timelines and realities are physically crafted and held together to allow the Time Variance Authority agents to travel safely from one timeline or reality to another.
An X-Men reference
Loki season 2 episode 1 introduces the Temporal Loom via a camera zoom-in on the door to the TVA’s center. However, the camera looms in on an X-shape in the middle of the door for a while.
This is a neat reference to the Cerebro entrance from Fox’s X-Men films.
Loki’s “time-slipping” effect is similar to Spider-Verse’s glitching
Throughout the first episode of season 2, fans see Loki constantly “time-slip” or warp across time. The visual effects of this are similar to the glitching effect seen in Sony’s Spider-Verse movies.
In the latter franchise, this happens to characters who stay for longer periods in universes they are not native to.
