The four instances covered in season 1 are strange lights spotted in the sky over central Texas, school-going children claiming to see aliens in Zimbabwe, strange encounters at children’s school in a Welsh village, and bright lights over the Fukushima power plant.

This four-part docuseries debuted on Netflix on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. This series is directed by Yon Motskin and executive produced by Boardwalk Pictures, Ambling Television, and Vice Studios. The duration of each episode of Encounter is between 44 minutes to 52 minutes.

The experts interviewed for this docuseries include Dr. Kevin Knuth, David Clarke, Tony Cowan, Eric MacLeish, Matthew Roberts, Sara Vanden Berge, Lee Roy Gaitan, and Robert Powell.
