Deadpool 3 appears to be adding several Fox-based Marvel characters left and right, and Channing Tatum’s Gambit could be one of them. Previously, he was attached to the role before Disney acquired 20th Century Fox and would have starred in a solo Gambit movie. That never happened. However, Deadpool 3 could possibly be looking to right that wrong.
Is Channing Tatum’s Gambit in Deadpool 3?
Channing Tatum’s Gambit could be in Deadpool 3, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
Rumors surrounding a Gambit cameo stem from how Joel Adrian, a stunt double for Channing Tatum, was recently added to the list of stuntmen in Deadpool 3 on IMDB (via Deadpool Updates). This list also contains names of other stunt doubles like Daniel Stevens, who was spotted doubling for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine on the set.
The claim of a Channing Tatum Gambit cameo was also suggested by MyTimeToShineHello, who has leaked accurate information in the past. They claimed that “Channing Tatum has already filmed a cameo as Gambit for Deadpool 3.”
With all of that said, nothing is officially confirmed for now, as IMDB pages can be edited by third parties. Therefore, these reports should be taken with a grain of salt.
Will Channing Tatum get the chance to play Gambit again?
Channing Tatum could get the chance to play Gambit again, if all parties agreed on it.
In the past, Tatum admitted that he was “traumatized” after not getting to play Gambit as he had put in a lot of prep work for the role. If he is supposed to appear in Deadpool 3, then it will most likely be as Remy LeBeau, aka Gambit.
Since Ryan Reynolds is reportedly bringing a lot of Fox-based Marvel characters back, including Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Ben Affleck’s Daredevil, and the whole OG cast of leads involved in X-Men (2000) along with several others, there is a high chance for him to tick the box of Tatum’s Gambit as well.
