After the success of the threequel, quite a few fans have been curious about the Creed 4 release date. In Creed III, Adonis Creed was put up against his career’s toughest and most ruthless opponent. The guilt that he was running from his entire life came back to haunt him, and he was finally able to get past that. But what’s next for him? Will he step into the ring again, or has he proven everything he could?
Here’s all the Creed 4 release date information we know so far and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there a Creed 4 release date?
Creed 4 has no official release date yet, but it will likely be announced soon.
Creed III was the most successful and profitable entry in the franchise, as it made $275 million at the worldwide box office. Actor-director Michael B. Jordan has also shown much interest in returning for Creed IV, but the studios involved haven’t officially greenlit the film yet. However, it is likely to happen because of the profitability shown by the threequel.
With Michael B. Jordan currently involved with Rainbow Six and a couple of other projects, it’ll be a while before he returns to the Creed franchise. There was a 3-year gap between the first two Creed movies and a little over 4 years between Creed II and III. So, if Creed IV happens, we could expect it to arrive either in 2026 or 2027 based on past release patterns.
But, it’s needless to say that the narrative for the next one should justify the need for a fourth film. It must find a strong reason for Adonis Creed to step into the ring again. Alternatively, it could involve a time jump and continue the father-daughter story where Adonis trains Amara to become a professional boxer.
We expect Michael B. Jordan to return as Adonis alongside Tessa Thompson’s Bianca. It will be interesting to see if Sly Stallone also returns to make a cameo as Rocky Balboa.
Where is Creed 4 coming out?
Creed 4 is expected to come out in theaters if it gets greenlit.
The official synopsis of Creed III reads:
“After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed has been thriving in both his career and family life. When childhood friend and former boxing prodigy Damian resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring.”
